Privacy Policy
1.General
At Learn Lebnene, we care about your personal information, so we have prepared this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, and share it. This Privacy Policy applies to the Learn Lebnene mobile app, the website learnlebnene.com, and related services ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree with the collection, use, and sharing of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Learn Lebnene does not sell your personal information, does not show advertising, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
2.Information We Collect
When you use the Service, Learn Lebnene may collect the following personal information about you.
a. Account Registration
To register for an account, you provide your email address and name. You may also register using Sign in with Apple or Google, in which case we receive the email address and name that provider shares with us. If you choose to hide your email with Apple, we receive only a relay address.
b. Profile and Learning Information
When you set up the app, you may tell us your learning goals, how the app should address you, and, optionally, your country and how you heard about us. As you use the Service, we store your learning activity and progress, such as lessons completed, review history, points, streaks, achievements, favorites, settings, and time spent learning, so that your progress is saved and available on your devices.
c. Content You Provide
We store content you add to the Service, such as flashcards you import, lessons you create from your own slides, feedback you send (including any screenshot you attach), and ideas and votes you post. If you join the public ranking, other users can see the username you choose and your points. Copies of your lesson slides are kept on your device and, if iCloud is turned on, in your own iCloud account. On Android, copies of your lesson slides are kept on your device and, if you agree, in a hidden app folder in your own Google Drive account. We cannot see that folder.
d. Lesson Slide Reading
When you choose to import lesson slides and agree to it, each slide is sent to an artificial intelligence provider to read its text and create cards. The images are not stored on our servers. The provider is not permitted to use them to train its models and deletes them within 30 days, except in limited cases such as a safety review.
e. Speaking Activities
Some activities ask you to speak a word. Your speech is recognized by Apple, on your device or on Apple's servers. We do not record or store your voice. On Android, your speech is recognized by your phone's speech service, usually from Google or Samsung, on your device or on its provider's servers.
f. Usage Information
If you agree, we collect information about how you use the app, such as screens and lessons you open, device type, app version, and language. It is linked to a random identifier and to your account, and never includes your email address, name, what you type, or your voice. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the app's settings.
On Android, notifications are delivered through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging. It receives a token for your phone and the notification's content. We do not use Firebase Analytics.
g. Purchases
Subscriptions are paid through Apple. We receive your subscription status and renewal dates, never your payment details. On Android, subscriptions are paid through Google Play.
h. Website
If you join our waitlist, we collect your first name, email address, the type of phone you use, and your language. We measure visits to our website without cookies and without identifying you.
3.How We Process Your Information
Learn Lebnene may process your personal information according to the following legal bases: to provide the Service you request, with your consent, to pursue our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service, and to comply with legal obligations. In particular, we use your information to provide and personalize lessons, save and sync your progress, manage your subscription, respond to your feedback, send you account and service emails, tell waitlist members when the app is available, and improve the Service.
Learn Lebnene may share personal information with service providers that help us provide the Service, including hosting, database and sign-in providers such as Supabase, analytics providers such as PostHog, artificial intelligence providers such as Anthropic, subscription providers such as RevenueCat, email delivery providers, a team messaging service, and website hosting providers such as Cloudflare. Apple and Google process information when you sign in with them, pay through Apple or Google Play, use speech recognition, or use iCloud or Google Drive, under their own terms. Our service providers are bound by contract to protect your personal information with the same level of protection described in this Privacy Policy, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information when required by law.
4.Your Data Subject Rights
You may ask to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, object to its processing, or withdraw a consent you gave. To do so, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, we do not sell or share your personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
5.Data Retention
Learn Lebnene retains your personal information until your account is deleted. Usage information is kept for up to 12 months. Waitlist information is deleted within 6 months after we tell you the app is available on your phone, or as soon as you unsubscribe. We may retain anonymous statistics that cannot identify you.
You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile, Delete account. This deletes your account and the personal information associated with it, including your progress, the content you added, your feedback, and your usage information. Ideas you posted remain visible with no link to you. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription paid through Apple, which you can cancel in your Apple account settings. A subscription paid through Google Play stays active too: cancel it in your Google Play subscriptions.
6.Child Users
The Service is intended for a general audience, including families, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or the minimum age set in their country, without the consent of a parent. A parent may set up the app for their child. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without such consent, we will delete it. If you believe this is the case, contact us at [email protected].
7.Data Transfer
Some of our service providers are located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required by law, your personal information is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Our database and analytics providers store your information in the European Union.
8.Privacy Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If we make a material change, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect.
